Frequently Asked Questions
What should I do in preparation for my wedding/event?
Begin a good skincare routine at least two months in advance. Since I'm a licensed esthetician, feel free to email me with any concerns and I can offer tips in regards to what your skin needs in order to look its best. Some good, basic rules to follow are: Cleanse your face once with either a cleansing oil, makeup wipe, or micellar water. Then cleanse again with your normal cleanser or cleansing oil. Exfoliate 1 - 2 times a week. Use a good moisturizer day and night, and wear SPF 30 or higher every day. Also remember to drink lots of water and choose whole foods and veggies.
How far from my date should I schedule my trial run?
I suggest scheduling it a month before your big day, and preferably not less than two weeks before the date.
What types of payment do you accept?
I accept cash, check, and invoices paid through PayPal or Venmo.
How long does application take?
I budget out a time frame of at least one hour for the bride, and up to 45 minutes for each of the attendees/bridesmaids, or for event makeup.
Do you also do hair?
No. I am only licensed by the state of Tennessee to do makeup, and do not hold a cosmetology license in order to style hair. I have a great network of stylists that I can recommend.
Why is the bride more expensive than the bridal party? It's all just makeup, right?
My priority is the bride. She gets my undivided attention and thorough communication leading up until the moment she is out of my chair and ready to walk down the aisle. My rates reflect not only my experience, time, and products, but also the ultimate personal treatment that my brides expect and deserve throughout the wedding planning process.
